Chesapeake Rigging and Charleston Spars declared
the mast a total loss and recommended replacement. BoatU.S. has approved
the full replacement. Settlement is estimated at $10,394.55. There will
be an additonal 4 week lead time for the mast section to be manufactured
and delivered.
Original mast section is a Isomat spar with a
base measured at 7-1/16 x 4-7/8". The specified replacement is
a Charleston Spar
1330 mast section and measures 7-1/16" x 4-3/4".
